Meningkatkan Sikap Menghargai Melalui Pembelajaran Kooperatif di Kelas IV SDN 101930 Perbaungan

Abstract


This study aims to enhance mutual respect in diversity through the implementation of cooperative learning models among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri No. 101930 Perbaungan. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The results showed that the implementation of the cooperative learning model effectively improved students' attitudes toward respecting diversity. In the first cycle, the observation score of students' attitudes reached 60%, while in the second cycle, it increased to 85%. This improvement indicates the success of the cooperative method in helping students understand and appreciate differences in their environment. Additionally, students’ activities in group discussions also showed an increase, reflecting better teamwork and communication skills. The cooperative learning model has proven to be effective in creating an inclusive and conducive learning atmosphere for developing the values of tolerance. Therefore, this study recommends the use of cooperative learning as a strategy to cultivate mutual respect for diversity in elementary education settings.
