Abstract


This study aims to investigate the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving student learning outcomes on the material of Zakat Fitrah in grade 5 of SD Negeri 32 Ujung Gading. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a classroom action research (CAR) design. This study was conducted in two cycles, which included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 20 students of grade 5. Data were collected through observation and tests of student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that the application of PBL can improve students' ability to understand the material of Zakat Fitrah and apply the values of generosity and concern for others. Through group discussions and problem-solving relevant to daily life, students can deepen their understanding of the meaning of Zakat Fitrah and apply it in their social interactions. The application of PBL is proven to be effective in improving student learning outcomes and fostering a sharing attitude among students, as well as providing a deeper understanding of Islamic Education materials.
