Upaya Meningkatkan Motivasi Belajar Siswa pada Matri Hidup Lapang dengan Berbagai Melalui Model Problem Based Learning (PBL) di Kelas 5 UPTD SDN 14 Tanjung Medan
Abstract
This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes on the topic of Living Generously by Sharing through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in Grade V at UPTD SD Negeri 14 Tanjung Medan. The study employs a classroom action research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, observations, and documentation.
The results show that the implementation of the PBL model effectively improved students' learning outcomes. In Cycle I, the average student score reached 74, with a classical completeness rate of 70%. In Cycle II, the average score increased to 88, with a classical completeness rate of 93%. This improvement was achieved because the PBL model actively engaged students in problem-solving-based learning processes, fostering critical thinking skills, collaboration, and empathy for the importance of sharing in daily life. Thus, the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model has been proven effective in improving students' learning outcomes on the topic of Living Generously by Sharing. This method is recommended as an alternative approach to enhance students' understanding of social values and positive character development.
