Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model in improving students' practical skills, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities in the material of the Hijrah of Prophet Muhammad SAW to Madinah in the 4th-grade class at SDN 28 Aek Raso. The PjBL model was chosen because it actively involves students in projects relevant to their lives. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with a cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study are the 4th-grade students at SDN 28 Aek Raso, with data collection conducted through observation, interviews, evaluation tests, and documentation. The data were analyzed using both descriptive quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results show that PjBL effectively improves students' practical skills, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities. The implementation of this model increased student engagement and led to an improvement in their average scores. Therefore, PjBL is recommended as an alternative teaching method to enhance the quality of experience-based learning.
