Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (PTK) aims to increase understanding of tolerance between Muslim and Christian students through a religious literacy program in class V UPTD. SD Negeri 35 Pinang Damai. The problem faced is the low level of understanding and tolerance among students of different religions, which can hinder the creation of a harmonious learning atmosphere. This research uses a qualitative approach with an action method consisting of two cycles, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The religious literacy program implemented includes various activities, such as book reading, discussions and reflections on the values of tolerance in religion. The results of the research show an increase in understanding of tolerance between Muslim and Christian students, as evidenced by an increase in mutual respect, empathy and cooperation in learning activities. It is hoped that this program can become a model for other schools in developing inter-religious tolerance education.
