Penerapan Model Problem-Based Learning (PBL) untuk “Mengembangkan Karakter Siswa Melalui Penerapan PBL dalam Pembelajaran Asmaul Husnah

Abstract


This study aims to implement the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in teaching Asmaul Husna to develop students' character in Grade IV at Sekolah Dasar Negeri 085116 Sibolga. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative and quantitative approach. The research subjects are fourth-grade students, while the research object is character development through the implementation of PBL. The results showed that applying the PBL model in learning Asmaul Husna effectively enhanced students' character traits, such as honesty, discipline, responsibility, and empathy. The problem-based learning process encouraged students to think critically, engage in discussions, and collaborate in solving problems related to the meaning and application of Asmaul Husna in daily life. Additionally, the evaluation results indicated an improvement in students' understanding of the material and their positive attitudes in everyday situations. Thus, implementing the PBL model has proven to be effective in shaping students' character while enhancing their comprehension of Asmaul Husna. This model can be an innovative alternative learning strategy to improve the quality of character education in elementary schools.
