Peningkatan Kemampuan Siswa dalam Membaca Q.S. Al-Hujurat Ayat 13 Melalui Metode Ummi

Abstract


The Islamic Education and Moral Education subject in elementary school aims to improve students' ability to memorize, understand, and practice Islamic teachings. However, the achievement of reading the Quran in this subject is still relatively low, so an effective learning method like the Ummi Method is needed. This research aims to determine the role of the Ummi Method in improving students' ability to read the Quran and the results of improving reading skills through this method. This research uses the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method with the Kemmis & Mc Taggart model to improve the quality of learning to read the Quran in Islamic Education subject in grade IV of SDN 07 Batang Gogar. This research involves 10 students as samples and uses data collection instruments such as tests, observation sheets, interviews, and observations. The data obtained are analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis with percentages to determine the effectiveness of the actions taken to improve students' memorization skills. The Classroom Action Research (CAR) in grade IV of SD Negeri 07 Batang Nadenggan shows that the use of the Ummi Method can improve Islamic Education learning outcomes on the main material of Q.S. Al-Hujurat verse 13. The research results show that student learning completeness increases from 40% before the research to 90% in Cycle II. Therefore, it is recommended that schools and teachers use effective and efficient learning methods, such as the Ummi Method, to improve student learning outcomes.
