Upaya Meningkatkan Prestasi Belajar Pendidikan Agama Islam dengan Menerapkan Metode Problem Based Learning pada Siswa Kelas II di SD Negeri No. 101949 Pematang Tatal
Abstract
Islamic Religious Education (PAI) plays a strategic role in forming the character of students who are faithful, devout and have noble character. As part of the national curriculum, PAI aims to provide an in-depth understanding of religious values and encourage the application of these values in everyday life. However, conditions in the field show low student motivation to learn, which has an impact on low academic achievement, including at SD Negeri No. 101949 Pematang Tatal. Based on the results of initial observations, the majority of class IV students had difficulty understanding PAI material, which was reflected in the low daily test scores and the lack of active student participation. Conventional learning, with the teacher as the main provider of information, causes low student involvement. Therefore, it is necessary to apply more innovative and relevant methods. One effective method is Problem Based Learning (PBL), which prioritizes problem-based learning and actively involves students. Implementing PBL can increase students' motivation and interest in learning, which in turn will improve their academic achievement
