Abstract


Education plays an important role in shaping students' character, morals, and personality. The challenges of maintaining Islamic values are becoming more complex due to external cultural influences, technological developments, and uncontrolled use of social media. Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers play a strategic role in educating students to uphold Islamic values. SD Negeri 173548 Onan Sampang faces the problem of low understanding and practice of Islamic teachings among students. One contributing factor is the lack of innovative teaching strategies, such as the lecture method, which makes students less motivated. Problem-Based Learning (PBL) offers an approach that can increase students' active engagement in understanding Islamic teachings through real-life problem. This study aims to identify the impact of PBL implementation on students' understanding and practice of Islamic teachings. Using classroom action research (CAR), this study is expected to find more effective and relevant learning strategiesThe results of this study are expected to contribute to the professional development of teachers in implementing innovative learning strategies and fostering a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also has noble character
