Penerapan Model Problem Based Learning untuk Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Materi Menyayangi Anak Yatim Kelas V di UPTD SDN 13 Mandalasena Kecamatan Silangkitang

Abstract


This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes on the topic of Caring for Orphans through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in fifth-grade students at UPTD SDN 13 Mandalasena, Kecamatan Silangkitang. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 28 fifth-grade students. The results showed that implementing the Problem Based Learning model significantly improved students' learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the average score of students was 68, with a mastery percentage of 60%. After improvements in the second cycle, the average score increased to 82, with a mastery percentage of 90%. Furthermore, the PBL model enhanced students' critical thinking skills and active participation during the learning process. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model is effective in improving students' learning outcomes on the topic of Caring for Orphans.
