Penerapan Problem Based Learning untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa pada Pembelajaran PAI Materi Surah Al-Maun Kelas 5 di SDN 104331 Langau

Abstract


This study aims to improve student's learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) on the topic of Surah Al-Maun through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method in Grade V at SDN 104331 Langau during the 2024/2025 academic year. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, student activity observations, and interviews, and were analyzed descriptively, both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the Problem-Based Learning method significantly improved students' learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the students' average score reached 72, with a learning mastery level of 68%. In the second cycle, the average score increased to 85, with a learning mastery level of 92%. This improvement was supported by active student engagement in the learning process, including group discussions, case analyses, and presentations of solutions to problems related to the topic of Surah Al-Maun. In conclusion, the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning method is effective in improving students' learning outcomes in PAI on the topic of Surah Al-Maun. This study recommends applying similar methods to other topics to enhance the overall quality of learning.
