Upaya Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Materi Meyakini Kitab-Kitab Allah Menggunakan Metode Problem Based Learning di Sekolah SMP Negeri 1 Kotarih

Abstract


This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes on the topic of Believing in Allah's Scriptures through the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method at SMP Negeri 1 Kotarih. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach with a cyclical model consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, student activity observations, and interviews, and were analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that the Problem Based Learning method significantly improved students' learning outcomes. In the first cycle, the average student score was 70, with a learning mastery level of 65%. In the second cycle, the average score increased to 85, with a learning mastery level of 90%. This improvement was supported by active student engagement during the learning process, including group discussions, case analysis, and presentations of problem-solving outcomes relevant to the topic. In conclusion, the Problem Based Learning method is effective in improving students' learning outcomes on the topic of Believing in Allah's Scriptures. This study recommends applying this method to other topics to enhance overall educational quality.
