Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Materi Keteladanan Khulafaur Rasyidin Melalui Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning di Kelas V UPTD SD Negeri 21 Pasir Tuntung

Abstract


This classroom action research aims to improve student engagement and learning outcomes by implementing optimal teaching strategies. The research was conducted in Class V of UPTD SDN 21 Pasir Tuntung over three cycles, each involving two meetings. The learning process used the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model applied in Islamic Education. Observations revealed that in the pre-cycle stage, the teaching was still one-way and lacked student involvement. In Cycle I, although there was an increase in engagement, students still needed to be more empowered in critical thinking. Cycle II showed significant improvement in student engagement, though some aspects still needed refinement. In Cycle III, the evaluation results demonstrated a significant improvement in student learning outcomes, with the majority of students achieving the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). This study shows that PBL is effective in enhancing student learning outcomes and shaping better character through interactive and discussion-based learning.
