Penerapan Metode Diskusi untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar PAI Kelas IV SDN 101107 Aek Libung

Abstract


Learning is considered successful if students can master the material; however, it also depends on the teacher's ability to deliver the content effectively. Classroom Action Research (CAR) is necessary to improve students' learning outcomes through teaching improvements. This study, titled "The Application of the Discussion Method to Improve PAI Learning Outcomes in Grade IV Students of SDN 101107 Aek Libung," was conducted due to the low learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), which did not meet the minimum passing grade (KKM) of 75. The research involved 15 fourth-grade students at SDN 101107 Aek Libung and was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of one meeting. The research stages included planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through observation and written tests. The findings showed an improvement in learning outcomes: in the initial study, 5 students (33.33%) achieved the passing grade; this increased to 9 students (60%) in the first cycle and 15 students (100%) in the second cycle. Thus, the Discussion Method effectively improves PAI learning outcomes for fourth-grade students.
