Abstract


This study aims to improve students' learning outcomes through the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model on the topic of Prostration Outside of Prayer for seventh-grade students (class VII B) at SMPIT Dewani Akbar Serdang Bedagai in the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR), conducted in two cycles consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this study were 30 students from class VII B. Data collection techniques included learning outcome tests, observations, and questionnaires. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model significantly improved students' learning outcomes. This improvement was evident from the increase in the average student score from 70 in the first cycle to 88 in the second cycle. Additionally, students became more active in the learning process, enhanced their critical thinking skills, and strengthened their understanding of the concept of prostration outside of prayer. Thus, the Jigsaw learning model has proven to be effective in enhancing students' learning outcomes on the topic of Prostration Outside of Prayer in class VII B at SMPIT Dewani Akbar Serdang Bedagai.
