Abstract


Understanding and practicing the values of purity in daily life is a crucial aspect of character development for students. This study aims to enhance students' understanding and application of purity values through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in the contextual learning of Asmaul-Husna Al-Quddus in Grade 4 at SD Negeri No. 105373 Tualang. The research method used was Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, involving planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. Data were collected through comprehension tests, observations, and student interviews. The results showed that the application of PBL significantly improved students' understanding of the meaning of Asmaul-Husna Al-Quddus. Furthermore, there was an increase in the practice of purity values in daily life, such as maintaining personal and environmental cleanliness, as well as developing discipline and responsibility. The percentage of comprehension mastery increased from 60% in cycle I to 85% in cycle II, while the application of purity values improved from 55% to 80%. Thus, the Problem-Based Learning model in contextual learning can be an effective strategy for instilling purity values in students. It is hoped that this method can be widely implemented to enhance the understanding and application of other Islamic values in primary school education.
